Parking Booths for Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center Parking Booth Video

In honor of this being our first Booth of the Month post, we have decided to go with some of our most beautiful looking parking booths. Kennedy Space Center located in Cape Canaveral, Florida in 2018 decided to renovate the entrance gate to the facility. They wanted an easier way to collect parking revenue from incoming guests. In addition to the desire to improve collections of the entrance fees, the designers wanted the whole entrance to look like the huge gantry crawler. They chose to purchase two prefabricated aluminum parking booths with a custom front end to match some of the equipment used at the space center. One of the units was manufactured with an ADA compliant restroom and the other one included an electrical closet in the rear for them to store computers, telecom, and data servers. These booths were both 6′-6″ x 16′-0″ in size and had two sliding doors so the parking attendant can access both drive lanes to speed up the revenue collection process. Kennedy Space Center included in the design of the booths our upgraded Low E insulated impact resistant glass which will be most helpful considering they are located right on the ocean in a state that is heavily effected by hurricanes. They also wanted the color of the units to match the new canopy which is why they are painted gray. Mardan Fabrication can manufacture our aluminum parking booths to meet ALL hurricane requirements throughout the State of Florida, including in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
